Hey lovelies! Hope you’re all well!

So today I wanted to talk about an oldie but goodie. My last two blog posts I discussed two of my favourite makeup products, the only problem is they were both high-end products. Today I wanted to talk about a drugstore product that I absolutely love and it’s definitely something that will be staying in my makeup bag for a while!

It’s the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I’m sure everyone has heard of this product, it’s a translucent pressed powder that is designed to keep your makeup matte-looking all day.

It’s a cheap and cheerful product that is definitely loved by a lot of people, certainly me! I’m the type of face who is a face powder hoarder, and unfortunately I still haven’t found the perfect face powder. But I have to say, this does come pretty close!

What I love most about this product is the fact that it really does give your makeup a flawless matte finish. I love a matte makeup look, and I can’t stand it when my face looks shiny or oily... not a good look! I always love the price of this powder, retailed at £3.99 what’s not to love?!

The only thing I’m not so keen on is the fact that this powder definitely does add more colour to your makeup. For someone who doesn’t wear much makeup anyway and just wants to brush over their face with a touch of powder, then this won’t be a problem for you. But I like to wear full-coverage foundation on a regular basis, so the fact that this powder adds more colour doesn’t always look great over my already applied foundation and concealer.

Top tip: Spray your finished makeup with a bit of finishing spray. I like to use the Urban Decay All Nighter finishing spray, it really makes a difference to the look of your makeup and really helps keep your makeup in place all day!

Give it a try if you haven’t already, I promise you’ll love it!

Hey lovelies! Hope you’re all well!

Today I thought I’d tell you guys about one of my recent obsessions... the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer!

I absolutely love everything about Mac products! As much as I love my Chanel foundation (which is probably the love of my life) if I had to use just one makeup brand for the rest of my life, it would definitely be Mac!

A couple of months ago my sister and I took a trip to my favourite place in the world, Disneyland Paris! If any of you have ever been on a trip/holiday and have ran out of a staple makeup product, then I’m sure you can understand the pain I felt when I ran out of what I thought was my favourite concealer in the world!

Before I went on the trip I was completely addicted to my Shiseido Natural Finish Cream Concealer, but when I arrived home at London St. Pancras station, my sister and I took a quick trip into Mac before taking another train back to my home town. I adore the Mac store in London St. Pancras; every time I go in there the staff are always so friendly and helpful! Like any other Mac store really, I just love this particular store, probably because it reminds me of fun trips to London!

So instead of ordering another one of my Shiseido concealers, I decided while I was in Mac I may as well get one of their concealers! I had already heard a little bit about their Pro Longwear concealer, but I had never tried it before, in fact I’ve never tried a Mac concealer before!

One of the best things about Mac makeup products is the huge selection of colours! No matter what your skin colour is, I really do think Mac can cater for you! The shade I went for was NW15, which is one of the lighter shades.

The packaging is a cute little glass bottle with a convenient pump instead of squeezing the product out. I personally love the packaging, it’s not too over the top but it’s simple enough to instantly recognise, and the see through bottle means you can see when you’re about to run out! (Obviously for me, this is a must!)

The product itself is gorgeous! It works well as a spot concealer, but I personally love it as an under-eye concealer, and it’s great for highlighting! It’s a light consistency and doesn’t feel too heavy. I hate makeup products that feel too heavy! But this concealer is light but gives you amazing coverage; a little goes a long way!

Definitely give this concealer a try! It really is a beautiful product! I have never been so thankful for running out of a makeup product while on holiday!

“Every day is a fashion show and the world is the runway” – Coco Chanel

First things first, I’m a Chanel girl. Unfortunately I don’t own a Chanel bag, nor do I own 10 pairs of Chanel sunglasses (or even just one pair for that matter), but I LOVE their makeup!

I don’t constantly cover my face in expensive makeup, but I do believe that if a girl should indulge in one expensive makeup product, I strongly believe it should be the foundation!

To me, having a flawless complexion is the key to creating the perfect makeup look.  I’ve tried a number of foundations in the past, and personally nothing beats Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua!

I’ve been wearing this foundation for over a year, and now that I’ve been wearing this for such a long time, I don’t think its possible try another foundation!

Its “new generation texture” gives your complexion a “second skin” look, evening out your skin and giving it a fresh and energised appearance.

The fluid is light and ultra-fine, which is great for an everyday foundation! There’s nothing worse than the feeling of heavy makeup on your skin all day!

One of my personal favourites about Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua is the smell! It’s got a light, floral fragrance to it which makes it such a joy to put on every day.

A down side to this foundation is the small selection of colour shades, which there are only 9. To some people this won’t be a problem, and for me it isn’t really either since I’m almost always the lightest shade. But when you compare the colour selection to that of Mac foundations, there isn’t much to choose from. I would recommend trying one or two different shades with a makeup artist before you purchase, better safe than sorry!

On the whole, this foundation is a complete staple for my makeup bag; I really think I would be lost without it! Yes it is expensive, but it’s seriously everything you could ask for in a foundation. Try it, you’ll love it!
